FOCUS ON CONTEMPORARY DESIGN WITH THE ATELIER JESPERS
Pavilion C, Atelier Jespers | STAND 301 C
For its second presence at Art .lys.es, Atelier Jespers is showcasing four projects: #itin.rance08, a solo show by Enric Mestre in collaboration with the Modern Shapes Gallery, a solo show by Studio KRJST and Conrad Willems with an installation at the entrance of the Design Pavilion, which already caused a stir at BOZAR in Brussels and MiART in Milan with a piece created in real-time during the opening.
#itinerance is a means of expanding beyond the Atelier and allowing art lovers and/or professionals around the world a chance to see a selection of exclusive, modern works of art. Jean-Fran.ois Declercq is motivated by a sincere passion for sharing art with others, and this drive allows him to show artistic works in an intelligent context. Last year, Atelier Jespers inaugurated its #itin.rance project with an exclusively modern, Belgian project. This year, the focus is on various projects supported by Atelier Jespers and the collaborations it has established over the course of several years. For example, for this edition Jean-Fran.ois Declercq has invited Domeau & Peres and Pierre Bonnefille to participate in the project, thus confirming his interest in high-quality design, both in the thought process behind it and in the materials used. He is also presenting his new project - 6+2 .ditions - which has produced a vase designed by Alain Berteau in collaboration with Van Den Weghe, the famous marble producer. The vase is currently on show at the Kanal Pompidou in Bruxelles for their first large-scale exhibition about design.
