Maison Rapin is the new label that gathers all the activities of art dealer and designer Philippe Rapin : the 88 Gallery Paris and Hong-Kong, and Kam Tin Furniture.
Philippe Rapin created his first gallery in 1978, specialized in ceramics. Prestigious addresses in Paris, London and Brussels led to his settling Quai Voltaire in Paris in 2012 and in Hong-Kong in 2013. The gallery offers a rare selection of collectible design pieces and contemporary art, espacially with its unique collection of Marc Cavell’s kinetic work.
Maison Rapin is the place where Italian design from the XXth century (Gio Ponti, Piero Fornasetti, Paolo Buffa, Franco Albini and Fontana Arte) meets with contemporary creations from notable artists such as Robert Goossens, the famous craftsman of Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bankowsky and Roberto Giulio Rida.
The gallery is also deeply involved in the production of these collectible pieces, specially the production of Kam Tin « jewel furniture ». An eclectic and prolific gallery where styles and periods collide.
